Summary:

RD Petroleum is a progressive company in the fuel industry with a reputation for professionalism, service excellence and commitment to customers. We distribute fuel and oil products to customers throughout the South Island, providing fast, reliable fuel delivery & service/support to rural, farm/ agricultural, commercial, aviation and retail customers.

We are seeking a dedicated Sales and Admin Support person to join our team in Christchurch, Canterbury. This permanent, full-time role is essential for ensuring the smooth operation of our sales processes within our business. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting our sales team, managing administrative tasks, and contributing to the overall efficiency of our operations.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist with the preparation of tenders, quotes and applications.
  • Support the team to manage and update customer accounts and sales records in our CRM.
  • Provide support with pricing.
  • Coordinate team meetings and events.
  • Assist Sales Manager to arrange and prepare agendas for meetings, formulate and distribute minutes and follow-up.
  • Manage internal and external customer inquiries and provide timely responses.
  • Maintain accurate records of sales activities and customer interactions in the CRM system.
  • Coordinate with other departments to ensure seamless communication and support for sales initiatives.
  • Assist in the preparation of sales presentations and events.
  • Monitor inventory levels and assist in order processing and fulfilment.
  • Support the sales team in achieving targets by providing necessary administrative support.

Qualifications:

    • Proven experience in administration and support roles. 
    • Excellent knowledge of MS Office Suite 
    • Familiarity with CRM practices  
    • The ability to build productive professional relationships 
    • Have a motivated and proactive attitude  
    • Excellent communication skills 
    • Prioritizing, time management and organizational skills 
    • The ability to create and deliver presentations tailored to the audiences’ needs 
    • Relationship management skills and openness to feedback 
    • Experience in the fuel or similar industry – desired but not essential
