Raw Essentials is on a mission to improve the life of every cat and dog by helping owners feed what’s naturally best for their pet. We’re recognised as the raw feeding experts, operating from 17 stores across New Zealand, and offering personalised advice and a wide range of locally sourced and 100% natural products – that pets and owners lap up.
We’re looking for a passionate person to run our South Island Online Store operations out of our store on Wairakei Road.
About Our Role
Our Online Store operates and provides the same level of expert nutrition advice and product selection as our bricks and mortar stores, but via online channels.
We are looking for someone to join our online team in a full-time capacity working Sunday to Thursday.
About Your Responsibilities
The Online Store Advisor is responsible for the efficient execution of Christchurch-based online operations while contributing to the smooth day-to-day running of the Wairakei Road retail store.
This is a hybrid role. The primary focus is online order fulfilment, stock accuracy, and customer communication. The role also supports in-store retail operations and may run shifts in the absence of the Store Manager.
On a daily basis you will be:
- Ensuring our online customer experience is seamless through monitoring web chat, questionnaire responses, and email enquiries as well as following up with existing customers to provide ongoing advice and support
- Keeping tabs on our stock and website purchases including receiving, preparing, and processing orders including relevant website administration and stock management
- Packing customer orders appropriate to weight specifications and frozen requirements and preparing for dispatch
- Reporting operationally to the Wairakei Road Store Manager and working closely with the Online Store Manager to ensure national consistency of online standards and processes
- Liaising and problem solving with courier services, in-house delivery drivers, and other Raw Essentials stores to ensure our customers (and their pets) get what they need, when they need it
About You
To be our standout candidate you will:
- Demonstrate excellent customer service skills with the ability to problem solve sticky situations
- Have a demonstrated knowledge of online retail store platforms
- Hold a high level of accuracy and attention to detail
- Have the ability to juggle conflicting priorities – which means you are super organised!
- Assist in the creation of product listings and descriptions
- Be savvy with technology as you will be regularly working on our website CMS, Google Workspace, our customer database, chat & social media platforms
- Show adaptability and have the ability to pick up new systems and procedures quickly
Ideally you have some experience supporting e-commerce in retail but at a minimum you must have worked in a busy, customer focused environment and have experience working with, and improving, system processes.
Raw feeding knowledge and experience is definitely a bonus but not a pre-requisite as everyone who joins our team (including vets nurses and regular raw feeders) go through our Raw Feeding training program.
