About the Role
We have an exciting opportunity for a full-time HR Advisor to join our growing, newly merged business. This role can be based in Feilding or Rotorua with regularly travel between sites (including occasional overnight stays).
This is a hands-on fast paced role where you will partner with leaders across the business, providing practical HR advice, supporting people initiatives and helping shape a positive and high performing
culture.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide timely, practical HR advice to managers and employees
- Support employee relations matters, including performance conversations and workplace processes
- Guide leaders on HR policies, procedures, employment legislations
- Partner with managers on recruitment and onboarding
- Deliver solutions focused support for employee queries
- Maintain accurate HR records and contribute to reporting
- Support training, compliance and engagement initiatives
- Work closely with payroll to resolve related queries
- Build strong, trusted relationships across the business
- Contribute to continuous improvement of HR policies and practices
- Provide support across the wider HR team as needed
- Contribute to a positive workplace culture through consistent, practical and people-focused HR support
About You
You are a practical, people focused HR professional who thrives in a busy, dynamic environment and enjoys building strong relationships across all levels of a business
- A qualification in Human Resources, Business, Psychology or a related discipline with proven experience in a generalist HR Advisor, or similar role
- Solid understanding off New Zealand employment legislation and HR practices
- Confident handling employee relations matters, workplace processes
- Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
- Practical, solutions-focused approach
- Willing and able to travel nationally as required
- Highly organised, with the ability to manage competing priorities
- Exercises sound judgement and maintains confidentiality
