Ko tāu ake mahi | What you will be doing

Your new role as a Health Care Assistant with us will see you assist our Registered Nurses with, among other things

• acting as a chaperone during patient examinations.
• assisting with comfort care for patients undergoing short stay observation.
• recording patient’s height, weight, blood pressure, temperature, and pulse.
• fitting crutches and applying plasters.

We have a Casual position available (you must be available to work across a 24-hour, 7-day roster).

• A minimum of one (1) year in a health care assistant role, or similar experience.
• Great people skills with empathy for patients and their whanau and support people.
• Competent computer skills
• An ability to multi-task and excellent time management skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• An ability to work in a fast paced environment.
