Mō te tūnga| Role Overview
This is a varied, hands-on role supporting the delivery and growth of workforce development initiatives across Pegasus Health, including Te Waipounamu Workforce Development Hub and our Clinical Connect Peer Education Programme.
Working closely with our Growth & Partnerships Lead and wider Workforce Development team, you will help turn plans into action. Your work will include coordinating marketing and communications, keeping websites and digital content current, developing promotional material, supporting campaigns and customer engagement, maintaining communication schedules and helping us understand how our communications are performing.
You’ll also help tell the story of our workforce programmes – promoting opportunities, successes and impact to the people and organisations we work with.
This is a fixed-term position until 30 June 2027, working 0.6–0.8 FTE across four or five days per week.

You’ll be someone who enjoys getting things done, can comfortably manage competing priorities and has a strong eye for detail. You’ll be confident working independently while also enjoying being part of a collaborative team.
We’re looking for:
- Experience coordinating marketing, communications or digital content
- Strong written communication skills and the ability to create engaging content for different audiences and channels
- Experience maintaining websites and online content
- Strong organisational and coordination skills, with the ability to manage several activities at once
- Confidence using Microsoft 365 and digital marketing/content tools such as Mailchimp, Canva, Adobe Creative Cloud and social media
- An ability to build effective relationships with a wide range of people and stakeholders
- A relevant tertiary qualification in marketing, communications, design, business administration or a related area, or equivalent experience
Experience with Squarespace or similar web platforms and an understanding of adult or professional development would be an advantage.
You’ll also bring an understanding of, or active interest in, Te Tiriti o Waitangi principles and biculturalism, and a commitment to improving access and outcomes for the communities we serve.
