hour urgent medical and accident care to the people of Canterbury from its site
at 401 Madras Street.
Ko tāu ake mahi | What you will be doing
This is an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated and
committed Registered Nurse (RN) with leadership experience to join our 24 Hour
Surgery/Acute Demand Leadership team as one of two Clinical Nurse Educators
(CNE). The role requires the nurse to plan, deliver, lead and monitor education
to support a high standard of professional nursing practice within the 24 Hour
Surgery team. The specific focus of the role is to work with the Nursing
leadership team to plan and prepare training and development programs that
support the educational needs of the Nursing team and align with the strategic
business plan for 24 Hour Surgery.
The role works closely within the nursing leadership team to
provide clinical expertise for continuous improvement and professional
development activities.
We offer flexible employment arrangements and provide a
supportive learning and working environment. There is the requirement to
undertake shift work. The role is for 32 hours per week.
Ko ngā pūkenga ōu | What you will bring
A minimum of 5 years post registration experience spanning a
broad range of acute clinical nursing practice, and will have completed, or be
currently under taking a post graduate qualification in teaching and assessing.
You will demonstrate excellence in clinical leadership;
highly developed interpersonal and communication skills; excellent time
management and organisation skills, along with the ability to quickly establish
positive relationships with a wide variety of people. You will be enthusiastic
and passionate about education and use leadership skills to motivate and
inspire others. Working well under pressure whilst offering exceptional
patientcare at all times will be second nature to you.
