ABOUT PEAK CLEAN

Peak Clean is one of New Zealand’s fastest-growing commercial cleaning companies, operating across multiple departments, including commercial contracts and franchising. With an ambitious growth trajectory, we are building the team and systems to scale to the next level. We are looking for people who want to grow with us.

ABOUT THE ROLE

This is a senior, field-facing role that sits at the intersection of operations and sales. You will be the primary person responsible for site walkthroughs, quote preparation, and ensuring key operational metrics are maintained for . your key accounts. You will bring deep industry knowledge that gives our sales function the credibility and technical accuracy it needs to win large commercial cleaning contracts. You will also bring boots-on-the-ground experience and expertise to ensure every hard-won customer stays a customer.

This is not a desk job. You will be on sites regularly, in front of decision-makers at large commercial facilities, and expected to operate with the presence and confidence that wins and maintains business.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Pre-Sales & Estimating

  • Conducting detailed site walk-throughs to assess labour requirements and specialised equipment needs.
  • Drafting technical proposals and costings to ensure profitable margins.
  • Approve quotes within delegated threshold.
  • Maintain accurate and timely CRM entries for all activity.

2. Service Delivery & Retention

  • Acting as the first point of contact for client escalations and “saves.”
  • Support Operations Manager with complex contract takeovers.
  • Collaborate with operations team to develop field assessment capability across the team.
  • Performing quality audits to ensure franchisees are meeting the quoted Scope of Works.

3. Franchise Ecosystem

  • Supporting the recruitment process by conducting discovery calls and holding in-person meetings.
  • Mentoring new franchisees during the first 90 days of a contract to ensure brand consistency.

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

Non-Negotiable Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years of operational experience in commercial cleaning, facilities management, or building services.
  • Has personally quoted and won large commercial cleaning contracts — not just supported someone who did.
  • Demonstrated ability to conduct site walkthroughs and produce accurate operational quotes.
  • Comfortable with CRM systems and disciplined in documentation and follow-up.
  • Track record of staying at least 2 years in previous roles.

Strongly Preferred

  • Experience in new business development.
  • Experience managing or supervising cleaning teams — understands what delivery really costs.
  • Has worked within a franchise or subcontractor model.
  • Familiarity with vulnerable worker provisions and contract takeover processes in NZ.

ABOUT YOU

  • You are a field person who loves being on sites — not someone looking for a comfortable office role.
  • You are commercially sharp — you understand margin, scope, and how to price to win and deliver profitably.
  • You are confident but not arrogant — you earn respect through knowledge, not bluster. You have a strong presence to communicate and negotiate with senior clients — facilities managers, building owners and procurement managers.
  • You are disciplined — you update the CRM, you follow up, you close the loop. Your time management and organisation are strong.
  • You are naturally curious, love learning, seeking new challenges and taking on additional responsibilities.
  • You notice everything, details and accuracy are what you are about.
  • You navigate technology with ease, open to learning new software and working with AI.
  • You want to grow with a company that is genuinely building something — not just maintain the status quo.
