Job Summary:
As a Graduate Electrical Engineer, you will join our growing in-house electrical team, working alongside our mechanical, process, electrical and structural engineers to deliver a wide range of projects from concept to commissioning for our demanding food and dairy industry clients. You will be involved in other electrical consultancy work servicing new and existing clients, supported by experienced engineers as you build your skills.
You will assist with scoping and costing for electrical requirements, support the development of concept designs, and contribute to delivering the electrical aspects of client projects. As part of a growing team, you will also help develop systems and processes to efficiently deliver electrical project requirements, with structured mentoring and professional development support along the way.
Largely based in our central Hamilton offices, the role also involves occasional site visits and supervision of projects, so you’ll be available to travel. This role offers challenging problems to solve and variety, as part of a multi-disciplinary team where you’ll learn something new every day.

We work a standard 40-hour
week, and pre-approved additional hours over 45 hours per week are compensated
in accordance with company policy at a rate derived from your salary. Based in
Hamilton, you may be required to work at various project locations from time to
time.
About you:
This role will suit a graduate electrical engineer looking to start their career with a supportive team and real project exposure. Our ideal candidate will have:
- A tertiary level electrical engineering qualification, completed or due to be completed before the January 2027 start date
- Some internship, vacation work or practical project experience is preferred, but not essential
- Exposure to electrical design and layouts, CAD drafting, wiring schedules or automation and process equipment is an advantage
- A genuine passion for engineering, a “can-do” attitude and strong communication and self-leadership skills
- Hands-on or trades experience, and/or an interest in the dairy or food processing industry, would be advantageous but not essential
