PCL Contracting Ltd is a privately owned civil contracting/asphalting business primarily based in Pauatahanui, Porirua with an additional yard established over the last few years in Waingawa, Wairarapa. We specialise in roading, car parks, subdivisions, drainage, asphalt, excavation and siteworks.

We are on the search for an experienced Mill operator to work within our surfacing division in the Porirua team. We have a strong focus on getting the right fit within our team, as our people are the most important part of our business. We generally work Monday – Friday, between 6am – 6pm, however at times you may also be required to work Saturdays and outside of these hours to help your team get the job done.
To be considered for the role you will need to:
- Have extensive experience in asphalt surfacing work and specifically at least one of the following – Milling operations, with either 1 meter of 2 meter mills
- Paver operations, Vogele, CAT or Dynapac
- Screed / Heights on Vogele, CAT or Dynapac machines
- Chip seal sprayer operators
- Hold a current class 2 licence with W.T.R endorsement
- Be competent at undertaking pre-start plant checks and have the ability to identify issues
- Carry out ground duties such as the use of plate compactors and all physical activities to support your team
- Health and safety minded and have a good understanding of best practice
- Be drug free and undertake pre-employment screening
- Have awareness of environmental requirements
