Barista – Remote

Summary:

The Barista is responsible for preparing and serving a variety of hot and cold beverages, providing excellent customer service, and maintaining a clean and welcoming environment. This role requires knowledge of coffee flavors, brewing methods, and drink recipes.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and serve a diverse range of hot and cold beverages, snacks, and pastries according to established recipes and quality standards.
• Offer advice to customers on drink choices
• Operate coffee machines and other equipment
• Clean and maintain equipment and work area
• Monitor stock levels and order supplies
• Create a welcoming atmosphere for customers

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Minimum 1-2 years of experience as a Barista in a high-volume café.
• In-depth knowledge of coffee beans, brewing methods, latte art, and drink recipes.
• Good time management skills
• Excellent customer service skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Good interpersonal and communication skills
• Attention to detail
• Valid RSA (Responsible Service of Alcohol) or equivalent certification.
