About the role
The iMIS Product Manager is responsible for the
strategic direction, governance and continuous improvement of the Council’s
iMIS platform. iMIS is the Nursing Council’s core enterprise management system
and central repository of information about nurses, applicants and our
interactions with the nursing community, providing a trusted source of data
that supports regulatory and organisational decision-making.
Reporting to the Director – Core Business, you will
lead the development and delivery of the iMIS roadmap, ensuring the platform
continues to meet the evolving needs of the organisation. Working closely with
teams across the Council, you will identify opportunities to improve processes,
drive consistent system use, and maximise the value of our data and technology
investments. You will be responsible for prioritising enhancement initiatives,
establishing effective governance and testing processes, and ensuring iMIS
remains a reliable, fit-for-purpose platform that supports the Council’s
strategic objectives.
As the Council’s iMIS subject matter expert, you
will build strong relationships across the organisation and with external
technology partners, including ASI and Higher Logic, to ensure high-quality
support, timely issue resolution and the successful delivery of development
projects. You will also lead and support a small specialist team, fostering a
collaborative environment focused on service excellence, continuous improvement
and innovation.
This role is ideal for a strategic and
relationship-focused systems leader who enjoys connecting people, processes and
technology, and who is passionate about enabling organisational success through
effective systems, quality data and customer-focused service delivery.
About you
You are a confident and collaborative systems leader with experience managing enterprise
platforms, business systems or membership management solutions.
Ideally, you will bring:
- Experience leading or managing complex business systems and
technology solutions
- Knowledge of iMIS or similar membership, CRM, regulatory or
enterprise management platforms
- Experience developing product roadmaps, prioritising enhancement
activity and balancing competing organisational needs
- Strong vendor and stakeholder management skills
- Experience managing technical support, system improvements and
small-to-medium development initiatives
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to translate
technical concepts into practical business solutions
- A continuous improvement mindset and the ability to identify
opportunities to improve systems and processes
- Strong leadership skills and the ability to influence across teams
and functions
- A commitment to Te Tiriti o Waitangi, cultural capability and
creating positive relationships with Māori and diverse stakeholders
