About the role
The Administrator Registrant Quality plays an important role in supporting the efficient, timely and consistent delivery of regulatory functions across the Registrant Quality team. The work directly supports safe nurse registration and ongoing competence assurance, contributing to the Council’s core purpose of protecting the public.
This is a busy and varied administrative role where no two days are quite the same. You will work closely with Registrant Consultants, Nurse Advisors and leaders across the team, helping to coordinate and administer key regulatory processes.
Key aspects of the role include:
- Managing emails, workflow queues and administrative tasks
- Responding to enquiries from nurses and internationally qualified nurses
- Supporting activities relating to nurse registration and regulatory processes
- Maintaining accurate records and information within Council systems
- Preparing and managing correspondence and documentation
- Supporting recertification, registration and other Registrant Quality activities
- Monitoring work in progress and ensuring tasks are completed within required timeframes
- Providing high-quality customer service to internal and external stakeholders
- Contributing to process improvements and quality initiatives
- Providing general administrative support across the wider team when required
You will also contribute to a positive, inclusive workplace and support the Council’s commitment to Te Tiriti o Waitangi.
About you
You are an organised and support focused administrator who enjoys working in a structured environment and takes pride in delivering high-quality work. You are able to manage competing priorities, maintain accuracy under pressure and build positive relationships with a wide range of people.
Ideally, you will bring:
- Previous experience in an administration or customer service role
- Excellent organisation and time management skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Confidence using Microsoft Office and business systems
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- The ability to manage fluctuating workloads and prioritise effectively
- A positive, collaborative and adaptable approach to work
- A commitment to developing your cultural capability and supporting Te Tiriti o Waitangi commitments
