About the role
The
Administration Coordinator plays an important role in supporting the day‑to‑day
running of the Nursing Council’s Core Business function. This is a varied and
people‑focused role, providing high‑quality administrative and executive
support across areas such as Registrant Services, Finance, Operations and
Partnerships, Communications, and Human Resources.
Working closely
with the Director Core Business, you’ll support business‑as‑usual activities as
well as a range of projects. Your work will contribute to organisation‑wide
activities including coordinating meetings and panels, managing documents and
policies, preparing professional materials, and helping to keep administrative
systems and processes running smoothly. You’ll also be part of a supportive
Administration Team, providing backup where needed and helping to improve the
way we work.
This role is
well suited to someone who enjoys working with people, takes pride in being
organised and accurate, and values delivering great service. You’ll build
positive working relationships across the organisation and play a part in
supporting the Council’s commitment to Te Tiriti o Waitangi, contributing to a
culturally safe, inclusive and respectful workplace.
About you
You are an
experienced and highly organised administrator who enjoys variety and working
in a fast‑paced environment. You bring good judgement, strong attention to
detail, problem solcving and a genuine desire to provide high‑quality support
to leaders, colleagues and stakeholders.
You’re
comfortable juggling competing priorities, keeping records accurate, and
coordinating administrative processes with care and discretion. You take a
proactive approach to improving systems, templates and ways of working, and
you’re happy supporting senior leaders with reports, presentations and meeting
preparation when needed.
You have solid
systems experience and feel confident using Microsoft Word and Excel, along
with tools for document management, policy control, templates, and website or
content management. You’re naturally organised, reliable and methodical, and
you take pride in making sure information is well maintained, accurate and easy
to access.
Most
importantly, you’re keen to keep learning and growing. You’re committed to
building your cultural capability and supporting the Council’s commitment to Te
Tiriti o Waitangi. You bring a can‑do attitude, a positive outlook, and a
willingness to pitch in and help wherever support is needed.
