About the role
We are looking for a part-time Reception & Facilities Coordinator to be the welcoming face of the New Zealand Law Society’s Wellington office. This is a varied and hands-on role where you will provide exceptional front-of-house service, coordinate meeting room bookings and events, and ensure our office facilities are maintained to a high standard.
You will be responsible for welcoming visitors, managing incoming enquiries, coordinating meeting rooms, liaising with contractors and building management, overseeing office supplies and equipment, liaising with IT, and supporting the smooth day-to-day operation of our Wellington office. Health and safety is an important part of this role, including completing first aid training and assisting with fire warden duties. This role offers the opportunity to work across a wide range of operational and administrative activities while building strong relationships throughout the organisation.
Our ideal applicant will have:
- Previous experience in a receptionist, office administration, facilities, or similar coordination role
- A strong customer-service focus and a proactive, can-do attitude
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
- Experience using Microsoft Office and other workplace technology
- Knowledge of building security and access systems
- Confidence coordinating meeting rooms and supporting Zoom conferencing facilities
- A high level of professionalism, discretion, and attention to detail
- The ability to build positive relationships with colleagues, members, customers, and external suppliers.
