About the role
The New Zealand Law Society is transforming the way learning is delivered, and our Continuing Legal Education (CLE) team plays a key role in supporting the ongoing professional development of the legal profession in Aotearoa.
We are looking for a Programme Administrator who thrives in a customer‑focused environment and take pride in delivering high-quality, professional support in our learning programme. These roles combine customer service, administration, and hands-on support for live learning events. This is a varied and fast-paced role where no two days are the same.
Reporting to the Customer Experience Manager, you will support learners before, during, and after learning activities, working closely with Event Delivery Leads, Programme Officers and the wider CLE team to ensure a smooth, positive learning experience for the legal profession.

Key responsibilities include:
- Responding to enquiries from the profession via the CLE inbox, 0800 number, and online systems
- Providing accurate information about courses, registrations, learning platforms, and events
- Managing course and event administration, including registrations, attendance tracking, certificates, invoicing, refunds, and reporting
- Supporting learning before, during, and after activities, including some travel and occasional out-of-hours work
- Attending learning events and providing on-site learner and administrative support
- Maintaining accurate learner and course information in internal systems
- Providing administrative support to the Event Delivery team, including travel arrangements, preparing materials, and ensuring events are delivery-ready
- Working closely with Event Delivery Leads and the wider CLE team to support effective event delivery
Our ideal applicant will have:
- Proven experience in a customer-facing or support role
- Proven experience engaging with external professionals (legal professionals or otherwise)
- Strong written and verbal communication skills and a professional, empathetic approach
- Experience in an administration; experience in content formatting, editing, or publishing is an advantage
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines
- Confidence using systems and digital tools
- A calm, customer-focused mindset
