About the role  

The New Zealand Law Society is transforming the way learning is delivered, and our Continuing Legal Education (CLE) team plays a key role in supporting the ongoing professional development of the legal profession in Aotearoa. 

 

We are looking for a Customer Experience Administrator who thrives in a customer‑focused environment and takes pride in delivering high-quality, professional support. This roles combines customer service, administration, and hands-on support for live learning events, with some positions also having a strong focus on the quality, accuracy, and presentation of learning content. 

 

Reporting to the Customer Experience Manager, you will support learners before, during, and after learning activities, working closely with Event Delivery Leads and the wider CLE team to ensure a smooth, positive learning experience for the legal profession.

This role is part-time (22.5 hours per week).

  

Key responsibilities include: 

  • Responding to enquiries from the profession via the CLE inbox, 0800 number, and online systems 
  • Providing accurate information about courses, registrations, learning platforms, and events 
  • Supporting learning before, during, and after learning activities. Some travel and out-of-hours work is required. 
  • Managing course and event administration, including registrations, attendance tracking, certificates, invoicing, refunds, and reporting 
  • Maintaining accurate learner and course information in internal systems  
  • Formatting, preparing, and proofing CLE course materials, workbooks, and resources using templates and style guides (for content-focused roles) 
  • Preparing and formatting PowerPoint and Word-based course materials provided by presenters 
  • Coordinating content sign-off processes and identifying issues to resolve with Event Delivery Leads 
  • Working closely with Event Delivery Leads and the wider CLE team around event delivery when required 

 

Our ideal applicant will have: 

  • Proven experience in a customer-facing or support role 
  • Experience in an administration; experience in content formatting, editing, or publishing is an advantage 
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills and a professional, empathetic approach 
  • High attention to detail and accuracy 
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines 
  • Confidence using systems and digital tools 
  • A calm, customer-focused mindset and willingness to support live events when required
