Makita (NZ) Ltd, a subsidiary of Makita Corporation Japan and market leader in power tools and outdoor power equipment, is seeking a motivated Service Administrator to join our Wellington Service Team.

 

This varied role combines customer service, administration, and hands-on repair work, making it ideal for someone who enjoys both technical and customer-facing responsibilities.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Receive and process tools for repair.
  • Enter service jobs and maintain accurate service records.
  • Provide repair updates and support to customers via phone, email, and in person.
  • Manage service enquiries, warranty claims, payments, and general administration.
  • Receive, transfer and put away spare parts
  • Provide support to customers and internal teams.
  • Assist in maintaining efficient service center operations.

 

What You’ll Bring

  • Experience in a service, administration, or technical repair role.
  • Strong customer service and communication skills.
  • Good computer skills, including Microsoft Office.
  • Knowledge of power tools and outdoor power equipment is desirable.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a busy environment.
