At KFST (Kirikiriroa Family Services Trust), we believe children who stand strong are children who thrive. We are preparing to launch an exciting new initiative and are seeking Expressions of Interest for a Social Supermarket Store Manager to lead the day to day operation of what will be a first of its kind initiative supporting whānau across Waikato.
This role is an opportunity to create meaningful impact through leadership, community engagement and operational excellence, ensuring whānau accessing the Social Supermarket experience dignity, choice and support.
About the Role
The Social Supermarket Store Manager will oversee daily operations including customer experience, volunteer coordination, stock management, administration, compliance and community relationships while working closely with TTTO teams, suppliers and external partners.
This role will be responsible for creating a welcoming environment while ensuring efficient operations and positive outcomes for tamariki and whānau.
Key responsibilities include:
• Leading the day to day operation of the Social Supermarket
• Supporting a welcoming, respectful and dignified customer experience
• Recruiting, coordinating and supporting volunteers
• Managing stock control, ordering, merchandising and inventory processes
• Maintaining administration, reporting and operational records
• Ensuring Health & Safety and Food Safety compliance requirements are met
• Building positive relationships with community partners and supporting organisations
• Supporting POS systems and operational processes
• Working collaboratively with TTTO teams to strengthen outcomes for whānau
About You
You may bring experience from:
• Retail or supermarket leadership
• Community services or social services
• Hospitality or customer service management
• Operations or volunteer management
You will also demonstrate:
• Strong leadership and organisational capability
• Confidence managing competing priorities in a fast paced environment
• Excellent communication and relationship management skills
• High levels of integrity, accountability and professionalism
• Commitment to community wellbeing and creating positive social impact
