Our Kinross Cellar Door is a destination for Central Otago wines where we represent five amazing wineries – Hawkshead, High Garden, Kinross, Valli & Wild Irishman.

About the Role:

We are looking for a true storyteller with great people skills, proven sales experience and passion for wine and food. Wine experience and/or qualifications are a real bonus, but more important is the personality, passion, coachability and belief in what we are doing at Kinross. You will have a demonstrated ability to connect with guests, build ongoing relationships and develop a sales pipeline to meet sales targets. You will be comfortable in a sales environment, working to sales targets and earning base hourly rate plus quarterly sales commission.

You will host tastings for groups of 2-20 guests, including greeting, conducting the tasting, taking orders for shipment, and completing admin tasks.

Our ‘tastings’ are so much more than a splash tasting, they are an authentic Central Otago wine experience that take guests on a 45 minute journey of our region like no other. Our wine experiences are all about storytelling and immersing our guests into the world of wine.

This is a permanent position, with a min of 30hrs, (typical working week 40hrs) per week working a weekly roster, including weekends.

Location: On-site at Kinross, Gibbston

Hourly Rate: $28 – $30 per hour base salary, plus generous quarterly sales commission.
