You are an experienced property management professional with a proven record in managing large and complex property portfolios. You have a strong understanding of tenancy legislation, compliance
requirements, and dispute resolution processes. A capable and motivating leader who enjoys developing others and fostering a positive and high-performing team culture. You oversee your portfolio with a level-headed approach and always keep an eye out for service improvement opportunities.
He kōrero mō te tūranga | The Role
You will oversee the social and financial performance of a designated portfolio of properties, ensuring compliance with legislation, policies, and tenancy management best practices. You will foster a supportive team culture and provide each member with coaching and support to further their professional development.
What you will bring:
- Tertiary level qualification in property management or Level 4 Certificate in
Residential Property Management with the Real Estate Institute of New Zealand
- 3 to 5 years of experience leading a team is essential
- Working knowledge of Mediation, Tenancy Tribunal and Disputes Tribunal processes
- Experience in managing a large portfolio of properties and tenancies in public, community, or
private sector
- Proficient in interpreting legislation and legislative changes and their impact on policies
and procedures
- Ability to role model best practices and to identify opportunities for improvement
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work with a wide range of people from
diverse backgrounds, including proven ability to handle and manage difficult relationships with clients
- Ideally, you will have some proficiency in Te Reo Māori and knowledge of tikanga Māori
All applicants must have New Zealand Residency, a full and clean driver’s licence, and a clean police record.
