He kōrero mō te tūranga | The Role
The role focuses on providing specialist advice with the strategic and operational management of our asset portfolio. You will have the opportunity to use your expertise and take charge of all aspects related to asset management processes to ensure that all Kāhui Tu Kaha assets meet operational needs, are in compliance with building regulation standards and all relevant legislation, including insurance policies & health and safety requirements, well-maintained, and financially sustainable.
Key responsibilities of the role include:
·Maximise asset performance to support tenants’ wellbeing and long-term community impact
·Model best practice and provide specialist advice and practical guidance to achieve high standards
and performance
·Build and maintain effective relationships and networks with relevant stakeholders
What you will need to have:
·Relevant tertiary qualifications in the asset or property management field would be advantageous
·Excellent knowledge of building regulations and standards (Building Act 2004)
·Proven experience in Asset Management
·Proven maintenance management and planning experience
·Previous experience in the management of external suppliers and contractors
·Astute planning and operational skills
·Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work with a wide range of people from diverse backgrounds
·Effective negotiation skills
·Flair for cost-effective purchasing
·Knowledge of health and safety issues
·Commitment to the principles of Te Tiriti o Waitangi and tikanga Māori.
