Purpose of the role
The Estimator / Team Leader is responsible for supporting the day-to-day coordination, quoting and delivery of exterior cleaning work across Auckland. The role combines field leadership, customer
contact, estimating, scheduling, and team support.
This position is suited to someone who is confident dealing with customers, understands practical site work, can lead a field team, and can balance commercial thinking with safe and effective
operational delivery.
Key responsibilities
·Lead, support and coordinate a team of exterior cleaning technicians.
·Estimate and quote residential and commercial exterior cleaning jobs.
·Meet clients on site to scope work, assess requirements and provide practical recommendations.
·Prepare accurate pricing, job notes, scope details and customer communications.
·Follow up quotes and help convert opportunities into confirmed work.
·Plan and allocate daily work schedules across residential and commercial jobs.
·Ensure team members have the information, equipment, materials and support required to complete work safely and efficiently.
·Monitor job progress and help resolve site, customer or scheduling issues as they arise.
·Ensure work is completed on time, within scope, and to the required quality standard.
·Oversee health and safety requirements on site, including safe work methods, hazard controls and
appropriate use of PPE.
·Maintain strong relationships with customers, property managers, suppliers and internal stakeholders.
·Support business growth through excellent service, timely follow-up and professional representation of the business.
·Maintain accurate records, job information, quote details and customer communications.
Skills and experience required
·Experience estimating, quoting or scoping work, ideally in exterior cleaning, trades, construction, property services or a similar industry.
·Proven experience leading, supervising or coordinating staff.
·Strong customer service, communication and relationship-building skills.
·Good commercial judgement and attention to detail.
·Confidence meeting clients on-site and discussing practical job requirements.
·The ability to plan, prioritise and allocate work effectively.
·A strong commitment to health and safety.
·Practical problem-solving skills and a calm, professional approach.
·The ability to work across both site-based and office-based responsibilities.
·A full clean driver’s licence.
·The legal right to work in New Zealand.
Ideal but not essential
·Experience in waterblasting, building washing, roof treatments, exterior cleaning or property maintenance.
·Experience using job management, CRM or quoting systems.
·Site Safe Passport.
·EWP experience or certification.
·Height safety training.
·Previous experience working with commercial property managers or body corporates.
