Description

Summary:

The Product Lifecycle & Performance Engineer will play a crucial role in optimising product performance throughout its lifecycle within our manufacturing operations. Based in Albany, Auckland, this permanent full-time position will own and drive ICT’s product quality, performance and continuous improvement systems through AI-enabled analysis of field, manufacturing and customer data.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement strategies for product lifecycle management to enhance performance and sustainability.
  • Conduct thorough analyses of product performance data to identify areas for improvement.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including design, production, and quality assurance, to ensure alignment on product specifications and performance goals.
  • Lead root cause analysis for product failures and implement corrective actions.
  • Monitor industry trends and technological advancements to inform product development and optimisation strategies.
  • Prepare detailed reports and presentations on product performance metrics for stakeholders.
  • Support the training and development of team members on best practices in product lifecycle management.

Qualifications:

  • Engineering or quality qualification (electronics/electrical preferred) or equivalent practical experience.
  • Strong communicator, comfortable presenting insights, risks and recommendations to Executive-level stakeholders. 
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in product lifecycle management or performance engineering within a manufacturing environment.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to identifying and addressing issues.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present complex
  • Working knowledge of UL, REACH, WEEE, PPAP and ISO 9001 quality systems (internal auditor experience desirable). 
  • Lean, Six Sigma and Kaizen facilitation experience (Green or Black Belt desirable). 
  • Proficient in using software tools for product design and performance analysis.
