Description

We’re Hiring Support Workers

At Hōhepa Wellington, we believe in one simple vision: every life fully lived. We’re a community that stands for people with intellectual disabilities, helping them grow, connect, and live life on their terms.

We have full time, part time and casual Support Worker positions available.

Hourly rate from $25.72 to $31.25 aligned with skills and experience.

As a Support Worker, you’re not just doing a job, you’re making a difference. You’ll be there to help people chase their goals, build independence, and find joy in everyday moments. That could mean cooking a meal, catching a bus, managing money, or just being there when someone needs support.

Like all of us, the people we support have tough moments in their lives. Your role is to stand with them through that, calm, respectful, and focused on what matters: their dignity and wellbeing. We’ll give you the training and tools to handle these situations safely and with care.

What we’re looking for:

  • People who are resilient, practical, and ready to think on their feet.
  • Empathy and respect—always.
  • A willingness to learn and grow.
  • No experience? No problem. If you’ve got the right attitude, we’ll teach you everything you need.

We provide support 24/7, so the flexibility to work shifts is important.  You’ll also need a full NZ driver’s licence and the right to work in New Zealand.

If you’re someone who wants to make a real impact, who can stay steady when things get challenging, and who believes everyone deserves a life fully lived—this is for you.
