With the rapid and exceptional growth of our business and Harmony Auto is a strong momentum in the New Zealand market, we are experiencing high volumes and now need to expand our Finance team accordingly.

As an Accountant, you will play a key role in managing day-to-day accounting, month-end closing, and financial reporting. You’ll work closely with our finance and operations teams to ensure accuracy, compliance, and efficiency across all accounting processes.

Key Responsibilities:

1. General Accounting

Maintain accurate and up-to-date general ledger records.

Prepare and post journal entries, accruals, and prepayments.

Reconcile bank accounts, intercompany accounts, and floor plan loans.

Assist in month-end and year-end closing procedures.

2. Dealership Financials

Track and reconcile vehicle inventory and floor plan balances.

Support service and parts departments with work order and stock accounting.

3. Payments & Cash Handling

Process supplier payments, staff reimbursements, and intercompany transfers in a timely and accurate manner.

Manage daily cash flow, including EFT, credit card settlements, and bank deposits.

·Reconcile customer deposits, finance payouts, and refund transactions.

Monitor overdue payments and assist with collections where necessary.

Ensure proper documentation and authorization of all payments.

4. Reporting & Analysis

Prepare monthly profit & loss, balance sheet, and cash flow reports.

Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning.

5. Internal Controls & Support

Ensure financial processes follow company policy and internal controls.

Identify and implement process improvements to improve efficiency and accuracy.

Support dealership management and respond to financial queries.

Skills & Experience Required:

Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.

CPA or CA qualification (or working towards it) is an advantage.

Minimum 2–3 years of relevant experience; automotive industry preferred.

Experience with Dealer Management Systems desirable.

Proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting software.

Strong attention to detail, time management, and problem-solving skills.

Mandarin speaking is highly preferred to liaise with Chinese-speaking stakeholders and clients
