About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Grounds & Pool Maintenance Specialist to take ownership of the operation, maintenance, and presentation of our resort pools and outdoor facilities.
This specialist role is responsible for ensuring our pools, recreational facilities, and grounds are maintained to the highest standards of safety, cleanliness, compliance, and guest satisfaction.
Working closely with the wider Operations and Maintenance teams, you will play a key role in delivering an exceptional guest experience while contributing to continuous improvement initiatives across the resort.
What you’ll be doing
- Managing the day-to-day maintenance, cleanliness, and presentation of the resort’s pools and associated facilities.
- Conducting water testing, chemical balancing, and monitoring pool plant equipment and filtration systems.
- Maintaining accurate compliance and maintenance records.
- Ensuring lawns, gardens, pathways, and outdoor recreational areas are maintained to a high standard.
- Identifying and implementing improvements to pool operations, grounds maintenance practices, and facility presentation.
- Supporting health and safety compliance, including safe chemical handling and hazard management.
- Collaborating with operational teams, contractors, and suppliers to support resort-wide initiatives and ensure exceptional guest experiences.
What We’re Looking for
You’ll bring:
- Previous experience in pool maintenance, aquatic facility operations, or a similar specialist role.
- Sound knowledge of pool water chemistry, testing, treatment processes, and pool plant equipment.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem solving skills.
- The ability to work independently while building effective relationships across teams.
- A proactive approach to continuous improvement and maintaining high standards.
- Good communication skills and a strong customer service mindset.
- A full New Zealand Driver Licence.
- Physical fitness and the ability to perform manual outdoor work.
