We’re looking for a reliable and physically fit Casual Driver to support our ReStore team on an as-needed basis. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys being on the road, working with people, and contributing to a good cause.
About the role:
As our casual ReStore Driver, you’ll help with the collection and movement of donated goods You’ll be part of a small, friendly team and play an important role in supporting our ReStore operations in Kumeu and Henderson. The ideal candidate will be committed to our values and passionate about making a positive impact in the community.
Responsibilities:
- Collect and deliver donated goods to and from ReStore locations in a timely manner.
- Assist in loading and unloading items from the vehicle, ensuring safe handling and transport.
- Maintain accurate records of donations and deliveries.
- Provide excellent customer service to donors and customers, representing the charity positively.
- Ensure the vehicle is kept clean and well-maintained, reporting any issues to management.
- Adhere to all health and safety regulations while on the road and during loading/unloading
We are seeking someone who is reliable, physically fit and is committed to working on a when required basis. This role will suit someone who prefers a work/life balance.
We’d love to hear from you if you have:
- A valid New Zealand driver’s licence with a clean driving record.
- Previous experience in a driving or delivery role is preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to lift and carry heavy items safely.
- A commitment to the values and mission of the charity.
- Basic knowledge of vehicle maintenance is an advantage.
