ABOUT THE ROLE 

 

We are looking for an experienced and proactive Senior HSQE Business Partner or someone who may be ready for the next step into Senior, to join our team and lead the ongoing development of our Health, Safety, Quality, and Environmental systems. This role requires experience in construction, civil, infrastructure, or a related industry. 

 

This is a senior leadership role for someone who thrives in operational environments, enjoys partnering with project teams, and is passionate about creating a high-performing safety and quality culture. 

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: 

 

Health & Safety Leadership 

  • Lead and support HSQE initiatives across multiple projects and operational sites  
  • Conduct site inspections, investigations, and risk assessments  
  • Lead incident investigations and corrective action processes  
  • Coach leaders and supervisors in safe work practices 

Quality & Environmental Management 

  • Maintain and improve ISO and Integrated Management Systems  
  • Lead non-conformance management, and continuous improvement activities  

Compliance & Reporting 

  • Monitor HSQE performance metrics and provide reporting to leadership  
  • Coordinate external audits, certification renewals, and regulatory requirements  
  • Support organisational risk management and governance activities  

 

ABOUT YOU 

You will bring: 

  • Proven experience in a senior HSQE role within construction, civil, infrastructure, or a similar industry  
  • Strong knowledge of NZ health & safety legislation and ISO management systems  
  • Experience leading, investigations and compliance activities  
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
