About the role:

  • Permanent Full-time
  • 40 hours per week on a rotating roster, from Monday to Sunday, inclusive.
  • Location: Gibbston Valley Wines – Otago, Gibbston
  • $70,000 – $77,000 depending on the experience

We are looking for a hands-on Spa Manager to lead our intimate boutique spa, which has only 3 treatment rooms. You will be managing a small team of just 2 other spa therapists, ensuring exceptional treatments and experiences for our guests. Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Leading all spa operations and ensuring a seamless, premium guest experience
  • Delivering massage, beauty, and relaxation treatments yourself – be a hands-on leader
  • Recruiting, training, and mentoring a small spa team, fostering a supportive and professional environment
  • Promoting spa packages and upselling services to maximise revenue
  • Managing inventory, equipment, and vendor relationships
  • Handling guest requests and complaints promptly to ensure 100% satisfaction
  • Staying ahead of spa industry trends and suggesting enhancements
  • Maintaining a clean, organized, and inviting spa environment at all times

About you:

  • At least 2 years’ relevant experience or a qualification at NZQCF level 4 or higher.
  • Experience working in a supervisory or leadership capacity.
  • Hands-on treatment experience with a strong understanding of massage and beauty therapies.
  • Lead recruitment, onboarding, training, and ongoing staff development
  • Exceptional leadership and customer service skills.
  • Strong organizational and operational abilities.
  • Flexible, team-oriented, and passionate about wellness and guest satisfaction.
  • First Aid certificate
  • Eligibility of work in New Zealand without any restrictions.
  • A reliable method transport since we’re located about 25 mins from Queenstown CBD
