About the role:

  • Location: Gibbston Valley Wines – Otago, Gibbston
  • $30.00 to $33.00 depending on the experience

We are looking for a hands-on Landscape Gardner to support in maintaining and developing the gardens and landscaped areas across our property, while ensuring our grounds are presented to an exceptional standard for our guests year-round. Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Maintaining gardens and landscaped areas throughout guest spaces and public areas
  • Growing, harvesting, and caring for produce in the chef’s greenhouse and kitchen gardens
  • Maintaining the gardens surrounding our 24 luxury villas
  • Lawn mowing, edging, hedge trimming, pruning, weeding, and general garden maintenance
  • Irrigation maintenance and monitoring plant health
  • Replanting and developing garden areas to enhance the property’s appearance
  • Assisting with landscaping projects and seasonal improvements
  • Ensuring all gardens are maintained to a high standard at all times

About you:

  • Previous experience in gardening, horticulture, landscaping, or grounds maintenance
  • Good plant knowledge and experience in plant care
  • Experience growing vegetables, herbs, or greenhouse produce would be an advantage
  • Ability to work independently and manage priorities effectively
  • A strong eye for detail and pride in maintaining high-quality outdoor spaces
  • Physical fitness and willingness to work outdoors in all weather conditions
  • A positive attitude and strong work ethic
  • Eligibility of work in New Zealand without any restrictions.
  • A reliable method transport since we’re located about 25 mins from Queenstown CBD
