About the role:
- Permanent Full-time
- Location: Gibbston Valley Wines – Otago, Gibbston
- $30.00 to $33.00 depending on the experience
We are looking for a hands-on Landscape Gardner to support in maintaining and developing the gardens and landscaped areas across our property, while ensuring our grounds are presented to an exceptional standard for our guests year-round. Your key responsibilities will include:
- Maintaining gardens and landscaped areas throughout guest spaces and public areas
- Growing, harvesting, and caring for produce in the chef’s greenhouse and kitchen gardens
- Maintaining the gardens surrounding our 24 luxury villas
- Lawn mowing, edging, hedge trimming, pruning, weeding, and general garden maintenance
- Irrigation maintenance and monitoring plant health
- Replanting and developing garden areas to enhance the property’s appearance
- Assisting with landscaping projects and seasonal improvements
- Ensuring all gardens are maintained to a high standard at all times
About you:
- Previous experience in gardening, horticulture, landscaping, or grounds maintenance
- Good plant knowledge and experience in plant care
- Experience growing vegetables, herbs, or greenhouse produce would be an advantage
- Ability to work independently and manage priorities effectively
- A strong eye for detail and pride in maintaining high-quality outdoor spaces
- Physical fitness and willingness to work outdoors in all weather conditions
- A positive attitude and strong work ethic
- Eligibility of work in New Zealand without any restrictions.
- A reliable method transport since we’re located about 25 mins from Queenstown CBD
