About Us
We are a proudly NZ owned and operated KiwiSaver and wealth manager. We were founded on the belief that all Kiwis should have access to simple, easy to understand financial advice and socially responsible investments that deliver long-term profitability. Ultimately, we exist to educate, empower, and advise Kiwis, to help them achieve materially better financial outcomes at retirement.
At our core, we are a purpose-driven business, caring deeply about making a difference. Our passionate team plays a crucial role in bringing our mission to life. We foster a culture of idea-sharing and empowerment, encouraging our people to lead initiatives that positively impact our business, community, and members.
About The Role
You will work closely with customers, prospective customers and the Onviser Product team to understand customer needs, uncover problems worth solving and design intuitive digital experiences that deliver real value. You’ll be involved throughout the product lifecycle—from discovery and research through to prototyping, testing and continuous improvement.
You’ll use customer insights, product thinking and data to simplify complex problems, validate ideas and create elegant, human-centred design solutions that improve both the customer experience and business outcomes. You’ll collaborate closely with Product Managers, Engineers and stakeholders to shape new products and features, ensuring design decisions are informed by evidence rather than assumption.
This is a role for someone who enjoys building. You’ll thrive in ambiguity, helping define how products should work rather than waiting for requirements to be handed to you. You’ll ask thoughtful questions, challenge assumptions and use your strong product instincts to help shape the future of the Onviser platform. It will include:
End to end product design: From discovery and ideation through to detailed UI design, prototyping, and handoff.
User Research & insight generation: Conduct user interviews, usability testing, and data analysis to identify pain points and validate design decisions.
Experience design: Develop intuitive user flows
and interaction patterns that simplify financial concepts for everyday users.
Design system contribution: Develop and
refine graphic components (e.g., iconography, imagery, patterns) within the
design system for consistency across products.
Interface design: Create clean, consistent UI components aligned with our design system.
Continuous improvement: Advocate for design excellence, usability, and accessibility in all customer touchpoints.
Design system management: Contribute to evolving our design system and component library.
About You
Most importantly you are driven by the need to understand customer problems and
solve them through smart, simple design. You have top notch critical thinking
skills and are always asking questions to understand the underlying problems
customers are facing. You have a great product sense and love combining this
with data to create intuitive, human-centred digital experiences.
You have a builders instinct, you thrive when things are still taking shape –
you would rather help decide how something should work than be handed a manual,
and you are comfortable making sensible calls without a precedent to lean on.
