Gas & Tyre Whangarei is looking for an energetic, organised, and customer-focused Administration & Sales Support Team Member to join our growing team.

This is a varied role combining administration, customer service, and sales support responsibilities. You’ll be the friendly face that welcomes customers, the voice that answers the phone, and the person who helps keep the branch running smoothly behind the scenes.

About the Role

This role combines administration, customer service, and sales support responsibilities. No two days are the same, and you’ll play a key role in ensuring our customers and team receive outstanding support.

Administration Responsibilities

  • Processing customer invoices, quotations, supplier purchases, and job sheets
  • Data entry and management using accounting and stock control systems
  • Producing reports to assist the Branch Manager with decision-making
  • Managing administration and customer account enquiries
  • Answering incoming phone calls and ensuring enquiries are handled efficiently
  • Assisting with branch banking duties
  • Supporting the development and improvement of business systems and processes
  • Maintaining a professional, organised, and welcoming office environment
  • Participating in team meetings and administrative projects across the Gas & Tyre network
  • Handling commercially sensitive and confidential information with discretion and professionalism

Customer Service & Sales Support Responsibilities

  • Greeting customers and making them feel welcome
  • Assisting with customer enquiries, bookings, and job scheduling
  • Processing invoices and payments
  • Liaising closely with workshop and fleet service teams
  • Supporting tyre and service-related enquiries
  • Providing product and service recommendations when required (full training provided)
  • Delivering an exceptional customer experience from arrival to departure
  • Offering coffee or tea to waiting customers
  • Occasionally collecting, delivering, or moving customer vehicles

Essential Requirements

  • Restricted or Full NZ Driver Licence (Full Licence preferred)
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • A positive, reliable, and solutions-focused approach

Previous Experience In Any Of The Following Would Be Advantageous

  • Administration or reception
  • Customer service
  • Retail sales
  • Tyre, transport, trade, logistics, or service industries
