Garage Project is a brewery based in Wellington, NZ, known for making unique and beautiful beers. We’re a fun-loving, dedicated and hardworking crew who aspire to be leaders, never followers, in our industry. We’ve grown from humble beginnings into a team of 65+ across New Zealand and Australia, and we have some exciting adventures ahead.
We have a fantastic opportunity for up to two Warehouse & Distribution Operators to join our team in Seaview, Lower Hutt.
About the role
This is a hands-on role in a fast-paced distribution operational environment, and we’re after someone who already knows their way around a warehouse floor. You’ll work across all operational tasks: inward receipting, picking and dispatch, truck loading, inventory control, export freight, and transfers between our sites. Responsibilities are shared and rotated across the team.
Success in this role comes from being curious, adaptable, and willing to learn. If you enjoy solving problems, taking responsibility, and being part of a small team, you’ll fit right in.
What you’ll bring
We are looking for someone who has prior experience working in a similar warehouse operational role, and solid experience operating a forklift is essential.
Beyond that, we’re looking for someone with strong computer skills and the confidence to learn new systems (we use CIN7, Monday.com, and a few others), along with a proactive, positive attitude and strong attention to detail. You’ll take ownership, solve problems, and help figure things out. A Class 2 driver licence, or willingness to obtain one, is highly desirable.
Why Garage Project?
We’re more than just a brewery – we’re a crew. At GP, we work hard, play hard, and we love what we do. Our vibe is fast-paced, creative, and a little bit chaotic (in the best way). You’ll get great perks, including all the beers and merch you could dream of, plus ongoing training to level up your skills. Critical to the ongoing success of Garage Project is the tight crew of energetic, knowledgeable and downright friendly humans. We value contribution and invite everyone to bring their whole selves to work. Oh, and did we mention we’re a Living Wage employer, Proud Pride pledge participant and we’re Carbon Zero certified? Yeah, we’re pretty proud of that too.
If you’re looking for a warehouse role with variety, responsibility, and room to grow, we’d love to hear from you.
How to apply Please apply through Seek with your CV and a cover letter that explains why you are the perfect fit for this role. Bonus points if you include your top three Garage Project beers and why you love them!
Applications close 25 September but don’t delay – we’ll be reviewing applications as they come in. If you have any questions about the role, please contact scott.weenink@garageproject.co.nz
