Description

Student Recruitment Advisor

Love outbound calling and consultative conversations? This is your next step.

As a Student Recruitment Advisor, you’re the first point of contact for prospective learners. Your role is to qualify enquiries, understand each person’s situation, assess them against entry, funding, and fit criteria, and guide them into the right enrolment pathway.

You’ll speak with people who have already shown interest in studying with us — from website enquiries, referrals, and targeted campaigns — and hold the kind of conversation that genuinely figures out whether Future Skills is the right next step for them.

You’ll ensure all enquiries are managed efficiently and responded to within 24 hours of click engagement, directly supporting enrolment targets and delivering an exceptional learner experience.

Success in this role relies on strong customer service, sales, or student recruitment experience, confidence in outbound calling, and the ability to build rapport quickly. You’ll demonstrate best‑practice learner engagement, enquiry management, and consistent, professional communication.

What you’ll do

  • Call warm leads from website enquiries, referrals, and campaigns
  • Run structured discovery: goals, current situation, barriers, funding, timeline
  • Qualify leads (go / no‑go / park) using clear criteria
  • Book qualified learners into SME calendars with full context
  • Keep your pipeline clean, accurate, and up to date

What you’ll bring

  • Proven outbound calling experience (SDR, BDR, sales, or student recruitment)
  • Real numbers on your CV — call volumes, connect rates, conversions
  • A discovery‑first mindset: questions before pitch
  • Strong pipeline discipline and clean notes
  • Honest, learner‑first judgement
  • Openness to coaching and call feedback
  • NZ working rights, plus the ability to work on‑site in Manukau from 10.00am to 6.30pm Monday to Friday, with up to two rostered Saturdays per month (with the following Monday treated as your weekend day).

What’s in it for you

  • $65,000–$70,000 base + commission
  • Warm leads — no cold calling
  • Weekly coaching + Grw AI call reviews
  • Clear sales career ladder (Outbound → SME → B2B)
  • Work that matters — every enrolment changes someone’s life
  • Values‑led team: Whakamana, Whakaute, Whakapono, Whakapapa, Whanaungatanga
  • On‑site in Manukau with supportive team energy
  • Free onsite carpark
