Placement Specialist

Auckland International Campus (AIC) is looking for a Placement Specialist to drive our placement pipeline end-to-end: sourcing and converting quality placement hosts, matching students to the right opportunities, and keeping placements on track from first conversation through to completion.

About the Role

As Placement Specialist, you’ll take ownership of the full placement lifecycle:

• Source and convert placement hosts — build a sustainable pipeline by identifying, approaching, and converting employers across industries relevant to our programmes
• Match students to opportunities — profile students, run skill-gap analyses, and align capability with the right roles
• Manage MoUs and placement administration — keep agreements, records, and compliance documentation accurate and audit-ready
• Follow up and problem-solve — stay close to students and hosts to keep placements moving and resolve issues early
• Drive quality and reporting — use our CRM to give the team full visibility of pipeline status, conversions, and outcomes
• Build employer relationships — represent AIC at industry events, on LinkedIn, and in the community as a trusted placement partner

What You’ll Bring

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Business, Human Resources, Career Development, Marketing, or a related field
• 3–5 years in employability, career services, recruitment, or industry engagement
• Experience placing students or graduates into internships or jobs, ideally in an academic or professional setting
• Motivated to reach placement targets
• Experience with international or multicultural student cohorts (preferred)
• Familiarity with the NZ job market, immigration policy, and Green List roles (highly desirable)
• A confident communicator who builds genuine relationships with students, employers, and alumni
• Organised and detail-oriented, with a track record of accurate record-keeping and reporting
• Comfortable using CRM systems, job portals, and professional networking platforms
