Cabinet Making Tutor

We are seeking a Cabinet Making Tutor who has a passion for teaching and mentoring students to achieve cabinet making skills, and who will thrive delivering our Kitchen Manufacturing programme.

About the Role

Based at our Wiri Campus, you’ll be part of the team responsible for the delivery of our Kitchen Manufacturing programme providing learning opportunities and supporting our students to achieve learner outcomes. You will:

• Develop and maintain learning and teaching resources, including course materials for integration in Moodle.
• Design and deliver learning and teaching experiences responsive to learner needs, and providing hands-on practical workshops.
• Mark and provide students with constructive feedback on their progress.
• Support students in the programme.

About You

• Experience in cabinet making and kitchen cabinet installations in New Zealand.
• A relevant qualification at Level 4, OR equivalent industry work experience.
• EITHER a Certificate in Adult Education (Level 5), OR a willingness to work towards a teaching qualification.
• The ability to build effective relationships with learners from diverse backgrounds, including Māori and Pasifika communities.
• Strong planning and time management skills.
• Confident, clear communication skills and a dedication to helping learners achieve their outcomes.
• Your passion and knowledge of the trade will ensure you meet the needs of your students and provide them with a genuinely rewarding learning experience.
