Description

Join our team of IT Field Engineers supporting schools across New Zealand and make a real impact on education and communities. This is a unique opportunity to work hands-on with a wide range of technologies while building strong relationships across diverse environments.

Based in Taranaki, you’ll be our dedicated onsite engineer—working independently day-to-day with the full support of a collaborative remote team. If you’re a proactive problem solver who thrives on variety, autonomy, and delivering high-quality support, this role is for you.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Delivering end-to-end IT support across a broad tech stack, including ChromeOS, Windows/Linux, Microsoft 365/Google Workspace, MDM (Intune & Mosyle), networking, infrastructure services, backups, and more—giving you exposure beyond a single domain.
  • Building strong relationships with school staff and teachers, understanding their needs, and providing practical, high-quality solutions.
  • Exploring and implementing new technologies that enhance learning—such as VR, 3D printing, and eSports setups.
  • Working across multiple school sites in a field-based role, offering variety, flexibility, and the opportunity to engage with different communities.
  • Contributing to a meaningful mission—supporting education and making a real difference for students, particularly in lower socioeconomic areas.
  • Enjoying more balanced working hours, with maintenance and project work aligned to after-school hours and school holidays—reducing late-night work.

What you’ll bring:

  • A relevant IT qualification or industry certification.
  • The ability to work independently and manage a busy, varied workload.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a customer-first approach.
  • A genuine passion for technology, learning, and problem-solving.
  • A professional, positive, and proactive attitude.
  • The essentials: a clean criminal record, legal right to work in New Zealand, and a full driver’s licence with a reliable vehicle.

Company Overview

Our field is IT. That means we turn great ideas into technology that supports Aotearoa. That takes smart, creative thinking. The intellectual rigour to not settle for “close enough”. And the persistence to test and fail, and keep testing and failing until it works, and works beautifully. It’s hard work. We love it. We’ve got ambitious plans. Talk to us about realising yours.
