Assistant Site Manager – Upper Hutt

About the Role

    Reporting to the Site Manager, you’ll play a key role in supporting the day-to-day operation of the site. This is a hands-on leadership position that combines operational management with regular in-pool teaching, allowing you to lead by example while supporting both staff and customers.

    Please note: As this is an operational leadership role, applicants must be available to work Saturdays on an ongoing basis and be comfortable working regular in-pool teaching shifts.

Key Responsibilities

    • Support daily site operations including scheduling, rostering, and customer service
    • Step into the Site Manager role during absences
    • Assist with class occupancy targets, enrolment forecasting, and staff planning
    • Support recruitment, onboarding, and training of new team members
    • Provide daily support and feedback to staff and contribute to performance reviews
    • Act as a key point of contact for customer enquiries and poolside concerns
    • Maintain accurate iClass notes and clear customer communication
    • Assist with timesheet approvals, documentation, and site reporting
    • Complete pool safety checks and ensure Safe365 compliance
    • Maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming facility
    • Support class scheduling adjustments and promotion of underperforming sessions
    • Submit promotional content to the Support Office
    • Engage with the local community and represent Fulton Swim School at events

    • Familiarity with iClass, Safe365, or swim school operations (preferred but not essential)
    • Availability to work a regular Saturday shift as part of your permanent roster
    • A willingness to lead from the front by combining leadership responsibilities with regular in-pool teaching
