Fresh Connection is looking for an experienced and hands-on Finance Manager to join our small head office team in Pukekohe. This is a key leadership role responsible for overseeing the day-to-day financial operations of the business while supporting strategic financial management and reporting.
About the Role
This position is varied where responsibilities include managing the full finance function of the business, some general office management and managing a small finance team.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee daily accounts payable and accounts receivable functions
- View and approve fortnightly pay runs and provide backup support when required
- Prepare monthly financial accounts and management reporting, including for the board
- Budget preparation and monitoring
- Cashflow management and forecasting
- Banking and daily finance functions
- Ensure IRD compliance and reporting requirements are met
- Manage ledgers, assets, and financial records
You won’t be afraid to roll your sleeves up to provide hands on support across the team during leave or busy periods.
Skills & Experience
- Minimum 10 years’ finance/accounting experience
- Strong understanding of financial account management, ledgers, assets, budgets, and cashflow
- People leader experience managing or mentoring staff
- Experience with Accredo and Employment Hero is highly regarded
- Proficient with MS Office
- Strong organisational and communication skills
- Hands-on and adaptable approach
