What we’re looking for

We’re looking for an experienced Harvesting and Forestry Manager lead the delivery of safe, compliant, and quality harvest and forestry operations in Marlborough. If you have background in forestry and know how to the best out of the contractors you will be managing then this is a role for you.

 

What you’ll be responsible for

  • Manage contractors and collaborate with internal teams to maximise client value recovery and investment returns for clients.
  • Develop forest establishment, and maintenance plans; support regulatory applications; ensure crew compliance with approved conditions.
  • Develop and oversee harvest plans, scheduling, and execution across multiple sites and support regulatory applications, ensuring crew compliance with approved conditions.
  • Managing and mentoring harvest crews, contractors, and machinery operators
  • Ensuring all operations meet quality, safety, and compliance standards
  • Coordinating logistics, transport, and post-harvest workflows
  • Troubleshooting operational challenges and keeping the season running smoothly
  • Driving continuous improvement in systems, technology, and processes
