Join us as an ETS Consultant and become part of a highly focused and experienced team with a diverse skill base which caters for all facets of forest management.   

About the Role:  

As a ETS Consultant, your expertise will be pivotal in developing commercial business cases that support the establishment and expansion of forest projects. You’ll be instrumental in guiding our clients toward integrating forestry into their traditional agricultural models, ensuring a balanced and sustainable approach to land, whilst maximising benefits by registering in the ETS.  

This role will ideally be based in our Masterton offices but could potentially be based elsewhere for the right candidate. This role will provide technical support and advisory to our full forest management suite of works and clients nationwide.   

Key functions include but not limited to:   

Meeting with our forest owners and ETS clients 

Assisting clients with ETS management and support 

Compiling eligibility assessments and reports, modelling carbon accruals and cashflows 

Assisting with property due diligence  

Key Attributes and Experience  

Strong self-starter with a commercial acumen   

Enjoys being client facing and getting out and about  

Excellent written and verbal communication with proven client relationship management  

Ability to work to deadlines  

Excellent Excel skills and proficiency with Word 

A forestry tertiary degree (or similar), or equivalent knowledge  

Work experience within forest management company or consultancy, particularly ETS management 

A strong team player with ‘can-do’ attitude, sound problem-solving skills and attention to detail    

Desirable 

Competent basic GIS skills
