THE OPPORTUNITY
The Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) is responsible for providing proactive, practical and commercially focused HR support across the employee lifecycle in Australia and New Zealand. Working closely with leaders, the HRBP partners with the business to deliver people solutions that support organisational objectives while ensuring compliance with employment legislation and company policies.
The role is primarily a generalist HR position, with responsibility for advising managers on day-to-day people matters, supporting employee relations and performance. The HRBP also contributes to HR projects and continuous improvement initiatives and will provide support in Learning & Development activities where required.
Based in the Western Suburbs, this is a hybrid role, offering up to one day a week from home, with benefits such as Birthday Leave and employee discounts and incentives.
This is a full-time permanent contract role to start ASAP.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES / DUTIES
- Build strong working relationships with managers and employees across the business.
- Provide timely advice and coaching on people management matters, including performance, development, conduct, attendance, grievances and workplace investigations.
- Support leaders in making sound and commercially balanced people decisions.
- Assist managers in interpreting and applying company policies and procedures.
- Identify people risks and recommend practical solutions.
- Manage employee relations matters from initial advice through to resolution
- Prepare HR documentation including employment contracts, performance improvement plans, disciplinary correspondence and other employment-related documentation.
- Support workplace investigations
- Assist Talent Acquisition Specialist with end-to-end recruitment process, when required
EXPERIENCE / KNOWLEDGE / SKILLS
- Proven experience as a Human Resources generalist with sound judgement, professionalism, strong interpersonal skills
- Experience working across Australia and/or New Zealand employment environments.
- Working knowledge of Learning & Development principles, including
identifying development needs, coordinating training initiatives and supporting
the delivery of learning programs.
- A sound understanding of the Fair Work Act, Awards and National Employment Standards, as well as a well-developed understanding of their application and interpretation.
- Possess advanced communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal, to ensure that complex concepts can be conveyed to differing audiences.
