TEAM VILLAGE SUPERVISOR
Flockhill | Fixed-term 25-30 hours per week | Starting ASAP to end of April
Flockhill is home to more than our guests — it’s home to the team who make the high country magic happen every day. We’re looking for someone to look after that home: keeping it clean, safe, and well-run, and being the steady, familiar face the team can turn to when they need one.
About Flockhill
Flockhill is a New Zealand icon — a high-country property where luxury hospitality and farming come together. We’re bold, we’re authentic, and we look after our land, our animals, and each other. “Better Together” isn’t just something we say — it’s how we work, across the lodge, the farm, and everyone who calls Flockhill home for a season or longer.
About the Role
This is a new role, built around two things: keeping our team accommodation clean, safe, and welcoming, and making sure every person who comes to work at Flockhill feels supported from the moment they arrive. You’ll ideally be based offsite, close to the property, and you’ll work closely with our Assistant General Manager and Head Housekeeper.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Keeping communal spaces — kitchen, gym, lounges, laundry — clean, tidy, and welcoming.
- Preparing rooms and cottages for new arrivals, and managing changeovers as people come and go.
- Being the first friendly face for new team members — showing them around and checking in with them in their first two weeks to make sure they’re settled.
- Being the person the team feels comfortable coming to once they’ve settled in.
- Helping uphold the standards and rhythm of village life, and flagging anything that needs attention.
- Flexibility to support in other departments as required
- There may be some days where split shifts are required
What You’ll Bring
- A full driver’s licence, and confidence using a vehicle or golf buggy to get around the property.
- A warm, approachable manner — you’re the kind of person people naturally trust.
- A sharp eye for detail and pride in how shared spaces look and run.
- The confidence to have honest, fair conversations when standards slip.
- A good level of fitness — this role is hands-on as well as people-focused.
- Experience in hospitality, housekeeping, or a people-support role
- Flexibility to support in other departments as required
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a supervisory role within the hospitality or catering industry.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team and lead by example.
- Basic knowledge of health and safety regulations.
- Flexibility to work varied hours, including weekends and holidays.
