As such, we are seeking an experienced Instrument Fitter / Process Tube Bender
to join our team working on industrial and process facilities.

Entec currently employs around 130 people working out of locations in Auckland, Taupō, New Plymouth, and operate nationwide.
The job we have on offer.
We are looking for a qualified and experienced Instrument Fitter / Process Tube Bender to join our team working on industrial and process facilities. This role involves the fabrication, installation, and testing of instrument tubing and associated components to a high standard of quality and safety.
You will work closely with instrumentation, electrical, mechanical, and project teams to deliver precise, reliable installations in accordance with drawings, specifications, and industry standards.
This role will be based out of our new, purpose-built Bell Block facility, with the opportunity to work away at sites across both the North and South Islands.
As an experienced tradesperson you will need to demonstrate excellent workmanship, productivity and attention to detail in both your hands-on work and your documentation, with a high regard for safe working practices.
You will also need to have initiative and the ability to self-manage your work.
As Entec runs a large apprentice programme your participation in training and mentoring is an expectation.
To be considered for this role you would need to hold or demonstrate:
- Working rights in New Zealand
- Recognised industry trade qualifications,
- Proven experience as an Instrument Fitter / Tube Bender in industrial or process environments
- Strong understanding of instrumentation tubing systems and fittings
- Competency in reading and interpreting technical drawings and specifications
- Experience working with stainless steel and small‑bore tubing
- Familiarity with industry standards and best practice for instrument installations
- High attention to detail and pride in workmanship
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- The ability to problem solve,
- A commitment to Entec’s Health, Safety and Quality culture, and
- To be willing to work as part of a dynamic team.
Remuneration will be by way of competitive hourly rate dependant on trade qualifications, relevant experience, and any other skills you can bring to the business. Penal rates and other allowances are also paid. The standard working week will be 40 hours, with potential for overtime to be worked as well. You will need to be able to commit to periods of working away from home as the majority of our
project work is now located outside of the Taranaki region.
