About the role | Mō te tūranga mahi
This is a Wellington-based role, with flexible hybrid working arrangements available. To support your success in this role, we recommend spending at least 3 days per week in the office to connect with your manager and fellow kaimahi, build relationships, and collaborate effectively.
You’ll support the successful delivery of a range of sector and strategic programmes across Engineering New Zealand. You’ll work closely with internal and external stakeholders to coordinate training, events, projects and programme activities that contribute to meaningful outcomes for the engineering profession.
In this varied role, you’ll:
- Coordinate training programmes, events and stakeholder engagements from planning through to delivery
- Provide project and programme support, including tracking timelines, budgets, documentation and deliverables
- Build strong relationships with facilitators, subject matter experts, suppliers and key stakeholders
- Support reporting, communications and continuous improvement activities across multiple initiatives
- Ensure high-quality administration, financial tracking and operational support that keeps programmes running smoothly
Who we’re looking for | Tā mātou e kimi nei
We’re looking for someone who enjoys bringing structure, organisation and momentum to complex work programmes. You’ll be collaborative, proactive and comfortable managing multiple priorities while maintaining a high level of accuracy and service.
You’ll ideally bring:
- At least three years’ experience in programme, project, events or training coordination within a professional environment.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines.
- Experience working with external stakeholders and supporting meetings, workshops or events.
- Confidence and fluency using digital systems and Microsoft 365 tools, including Excel, Teams, SharePoint and Outlook.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, attention to detail, and sound financial administration capability.
