About the role | Mō te tūranga mahi
This is a Wellington-based role, with flexible hybrid working arrangements available.
As Engagement Team Advisor, you’ll provide advice, guidance and operational support to our Branches, Students and Young Engineers team, while helping deliver wider engagement activities and initiatives across Engineering New Zealand Te Ao Rangahau.
This is a varied role where you’ll work with committees, volunteers, members, colleagues and external suppliers to help deliver engaging events, effective communications and a great experience for our engineering communities
In this role you will:
- Be the first point of contact for key stakeholders, supporting inboxes, committees and volunteer networks.
- Work with committees and internal teams to support engaging in-person, online and hybrid events and webinars.
- Support clear, engaging regional communications that align with Engineering New Zealand Te Ao Rangahau’s brand, style and communication guidelines
- Monitor event feedback and prepare reports and recommendations to help improve future engagement activities
Who we’re looking for | Tā mātou e kimi nei
We’re looking for someone who enjoys coordinating moving parts, building strong relationships and keeping things organised. You’ll be comfortable working with a range of people, managing competing priorities and using your initiative to get things done.
You’ll bring:
- Previous experience in coordination, customer service, administration or event delivery.
- Strong organisational, planning and coordination skills, with sound attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to draft, proofread and coordinate communications for a range of audiences, including members, volunteers, committees, students, young engineers and event participants.
- The ability to build and maintain effective relationships with volunteers, members, colleagues, suppliers and external stakeholders
- Experience coordinating logistics such as travel, accommodation, catering and venues.
- Confidence using Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook, with the ability to pick up new systems
Experience with systems such as Marketing Cloud, Arlo, Typeform, Survey Monkey or Salesforce would be advantageous, but is not essential.
