Description

Fabricator/ Welder

Weare seeking an experienced Fabricator / Welder to join our manufacturing team in Whangārei.

 

This is a permanent, full-time day shift role, offering stable work in a well-established, family-friendly local business. The role is based in an open factory environment.

The Role

You will be responsible for high-quality welding and fabrication work, producing components to specification while maintaining a strong focus on safety, accuracy, and workmanship.

Skills and Experience

·Proven experience in welding and fabrication

·Relevant trade qualification preferred, or demonstrated industry experience

·Ability to pass a weld test

·Experience fabricating metal components, including measuring, cutting, fitting, and assembly

·Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and plans

·CNC machine experience (Plasma Cutter / Press Brake) desirable

·Strong attention to detail and pride in quality workmanship

·Forklift and overhead gantry crane experience advantageous (training available if required)

·Sound understanding of workplace Health and Safety requirements
