About the role
This is not a traditional estimating role.
We’re looking for a Digital Sales Engineer to lead the front-end of our quoting process – building digital models, generating estimates, and helping convert opportunities into real projects.
You’ll be working at the intersection of engineering, sales, and technology, using tools like AirBuildr and SAP2000 to rapidly turn concepts into practical, buildable solutions.
This is a fast-paced, high-output role. It suits someone who is confident making decisions, comfortable working with incomplete information, and motivated by getting things done.
What you’ll be doing
- Own the sales estimating process from quote request to estimate delivery.
- Build digital building models using AirBuildr based on concept designs and client requirements.
- Working closely with our distributor network to clarify requirements and shape solutions.
- Apply engineering principles (including loads) within modelling tools.
- Make confident, early-stage decisions to enable fast, practical quoting.
- Identify opportunities to improve how we model, price, and deliver work.
What we’re looking for
You don’t need to come from a traditional QS background.
We’re looking for someone who is:
- Degree qualified (or equivalent) in structural or mechanical engineering
- Comfortable using digital tools and modelling systems
- Able to apply structural nderstanding, including loads, in a practical way
- Fast, efficient, and able to handle high-volume output
- Confident communicating with people
- Commercially aware and capable of making decisions quickly
- Comfortable backing themselves and holding their ground when needed
- Resilient and able to perform under pressure
