Our experienced ContainerCool team consistently delivers world-class, trouble-free refrigerated container servicing across New Zealand.  We exist to be a strategic extension of sea-to-land business for our shipping lines clients – who rely on us to do all the heavy lifting, so they can focus on what they do best.  We are seeking an exceptional Refrigeration Technician to join our team in Christchurch.

The Opportunity

ContainerCo has an opportunity to service our client’s refrigeration containers in Christchurch.  This is an exciting chance to join the Woolston depot and work as part of the wider National ContainerCool team.  You will need to have a flexible approach to your work to accommodate the hours of work associated with the business.  We are looking for people who have high levels of integrity and excellent communication that can be adaptable to deliver for our customers.

What you’ll Bring

  • Minimum 3 years’ experience repairing and diagnosing refrigerated containers
  • Electrical Licence or Limited Electrical Licence.
  • Refrigeration and Air Conditioning – Trade (Level 4) preferred.
  • The ability to communicate effectively in writing and verbally.
  • The ability to work as part of a team or autonomously.

  • Full-time, permanent position – Minimum 40 hours per week. Monday – Friday, plus rostered call out work as required.
  • Pay rate: $43.00 to $45.00 gross per hour dependent on skills and experience.
  • $1.25 gross per hour with EST qualification.
  • $18.00 gross per week tool allowance.
  • $500.00 per week when participating in the call out roster. Overtime at 1.5x applies to callout attendance only.
  • Full private use of Company vehicle.
