The Opportunity

ContainerCo has an opportunity for a motivated and detailed-focused Quality Control team member to join out Tauranga depot operations team. Reporting to the Depot Manager, this role is responsible for ensuring the quality, compliance, and integrity of shipping containers processed through the depot.

You will carry out quality control checks on containers repairs and washing work, ensuring all units meet shipping company requirements, IICL standards, and company quality expectations. The role also supports container surveying activities and undertakes repair work where required.

This is a hands-on role suited to someone who takes pride in maintaining high standards and ensuring quality outcomes across depot operations.

What you’ll Bring

  • A strong commitment to safety
  • Experience working in a container depot, port environment or logistics operation (preferred)
  • Understanding of shipping company standards and container repair processes
  • Working towards or interested in obtaining an IICAL qualification
  • Experience using tools and equipment for container repairs (preferred)
  • Ability to operate an Empty Container Handler (advantageous)
  • Strong attention to detail and quality standards
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
